John and Josh saying goodbye via @JWFRINGE
Homage To Walter Bishop
With a nod to John Noble’s Australian home, we gave Walter a specific mug, from time to time. If you pay attention, you can see this mug quietly placed in numerous scenes throughout the show, even though it may not have been scripted.
When we started “Fringe”, we only had one of these mugs. A hard and fast adage in any Prop Department is “One Is None”; it always pays to have at least doubles of a prop, for numerous reasons. Breakage, wear-and-tear, numerous units running at any one time, stunts, etc. make ‘multiples’ of any given prop very prudent. As we say, “it’s always better to have it and not need it rather than need it yet not have it”.
Incidentally, the double for this mug was found on eBay, after being out of production for many years.
That is all.
It’s been a pleasure. It’s been a great ride with you. (x)

“It’s not saying goodbye, it’s saying that we’re successful and having this beautiful family that you’re a part of. So on behalf of all of us, all the people in Vancouver and all the people at Fox who stuck with us [despite] middling numbers … Thanks to them and thanks to Warner Bros. and thanks to you guys because you really do own the show with us,” Joel Wyman
